What You'll Do:

  • In collaboration with the Chief of Staff, the HR Coordinator will help provide an experience to all employees of Cresta from the moment they join through their entire employee journey. This role will help cultivate a culture that strengthens our employee experiences throughout the organization. It's an exciting time to join this team as we build the infrastructure and foundation of Human Resources to meet a growing, geographically distributed workforce. Initially reporting to our Chief of Staff,  you will be part of the HR team whose mission is to cultivate a remarkable workplace where people are motivated and inspired to do great work.
  • You will be responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resources operations including, but not limited to, records management, HRIS/systems, benefits, onboarding, and administration. This role helps ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and City laws/ordinances; provides information and assistance to employees regarding human resources activities, processes, policies, and procedures; prepares various correspondence and coordinates activities related to the areas of assignment; and delivers customer-focused and effective human resources support service to the department and organization.
  • Support the day-to-day operational HR functions.
  • Be an internal ambassador for our culture and core values and build a genuine connection across all employees
  • Memorialize ongoing moments of celebration through in-person, remote, and surprise experiences
  • Manage employee recognition program
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientations and coordinate onboarding/off-boarding/employee changes, including data entry, paperwork processing, I-9 verifications, and scheduling for new hire onboarding sessions.
  • Process and maintain records of employee-related data (personal information, status changes, payroll, leaves, etc.) to ensure all employment requirements are met; includes HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and City laws/ordinances across programs, processes & policies
  • Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment status
  • Assist management and leadership team with special projects
  • This position will also include various ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks required to support the business. 


  • What We Look For:

  • 2+ years of HR experience 
  • Previous experience from an early stage company, and experience with Gusto and Lever is a plus
  • Undergraduate degree, Graduate degree is a plus
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Organize and effectively prioritize work; handle multiple tasks simultaneously; flexible in order to meet deadlines
  • Exhibit clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to handle highly confidential data
  • Strong organizational and creative skills, detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple and ever-changing priorities in a fluid startup environment 
  • Ability to solve problems and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding
